Here's my studio where I do a lot of my writing. A raven and a tortoise (both long-dead, now stuffed) keep me company as I write—the one beady-eyed and ready to take flight at a moment's notice, it seems; the other, slow and plodding. A goblet of shiny glass marbles catch the light while I'm working.

And here's where I like to draw. Usually, I'm sitting at the end of our long wooden table. The table is creaky, and when someone comes to sit down, my ink line wobbles! I like to write when I'm alone, but love to be around lots of people when I'm drawing. If you look carefully, you can see our dog Shal lounging on the carpet in the sun.
